Description
The Louisbourg Nova Scotia Lighthouse is a 100 years old, active lighthouse, a look-out point on top of a hill on the coastal walking trail. Built of concrete, with an octagonal shape, it's the third one in the series of the lighthouses on this place, that helped the navigation to the Fortress of Louisbourg since 1730. The fortress can be seen across the small bay, in the horizon. I took my photograph in the late September, when the grass was copper orange in color, contrasting with the blue sky and water.
