Description
San Xavier del Bac Mission is an historic place near Tucson Arizona, on the Tohono O'odham San Xavier Indian Reservation. This window found on one of the mission's walls is ornamented with a metal artwork, representing the wolf hauling to the full moon - a classic motif in the native North American "Indian" art and culture. Wolves have been symbols of strength, courage, and family for centuries. In Native American culture, the Wolf is often seen as a teacher or guide, helping humans to find their way in life.
